How I Work
I design for meaning inclusion function impact
...16 years and counting
Human needs first: I’m committed to a research and discovery first approach to all of my projects and advocating for and integrating diverse perspectives in order to ensure real human needs are reflected and met in design decisions.
Collaboration: Respecting, valuing and soliciting the perspectives and opinions of colleagues fosters a culture of open communication, constructive feedback, and shared ownership, ultimately resulting in stronger, more innovative outcomes.
Form follows function: I make intentional and purposeful design decisions to achieve the defined objectives, rather than being driven solely by assumptions or aesthetics.
Meaningful impact: I strive to create designs that have a meaningful and positive impact on peoples’ lives — making tasks easier, more efficient or addressing fundamental needs.
Systems thinking: Actively being mindful of environmental, social and technological contexts in which the solution will be used and its effects.
Feedback loops: No product is perfect. Creating continous opportunities for feedback is the key to improvement and refinement.
